Wayne State University Physician Group (WSUPG) is a nonprofit multi-specialty faculty practice with more than 400 primary care and specialty physicians in a wide array of medical and surgical specialties. WSUPG physicians diagnose and treat some of the most complex medical cases in the state. The intrinsic link between high quality patient care, medical research, and training the next generation of physicians allows WSUPG to advance medicine in the metropolitan Detroit community and beyond.
Atanu Bhattacharya joins the organization with over ten years of experience in academic medicine. In his prior position at The University of Michigan Health System he served as the Division Administrator, Pediatric Critical Care, Neonatology, Nephrology/Dialysis and Pediatric Hospitalists Department of Pediatrics, C.S. Mott’s Children’s and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital. His earlier experience includes: Director, Human Resources, Business Process Improvement and Strategic Planning for an Industrial Engineering Company, VP Regional Operations for Health Plus of Michigan.
